Punjab finance department has released Rs 36 billion development funds to the Punjab police. These funds would be disbursed among all the district level police departments throughout the province. The finance department had earlier released 55 percent budget of first six months of the current fiscal.

The CCPO Lahore will get the highest funds amongst all the districts, which fall over Rs 6 billion. This release of funds would enable the police department to complete unfinished development work, said official sources.
